Beautiful oak beams of hotels in Salisbury

I recently stayed in a beautiful Salisbury Hotel, which is situated just beyond Salisbury in Wilton. The Pembroke arms was lovely with stunning function rooms and bedrooms with 4 poster beds in them. Our stay was lovely and we felt very well cared for by the staff there, the journey home was lovely in our well built and well used Mercedes Benz, as it was very sunny for a lot of the journey. Our exploration about Salisbury was great as the Cathedral was jaw dropping, watching over the city from its huge spire.
Within Salisbury there was a gorgeous shop called Uggs that had been created with traditional oak frame techniques, it had amazing oak dowels pinning the major oak beams. It inspired us to get an extension on our home, using oak beams and the original oak frame techniques to create it. A local carpenter was happy to do the job but I wanted to select the oak beams myself. Once again I jumped into the faithful used Mercedes and went to a fantastic Timber supplier called Vastern timbers and they showed me some stunning wood just right for the job at hand.
We quickly had the oak frame structure under way and it looked brilliant with the strong lines of the frame like some sort of skeleton as it grew out of the foundations we had laid for it. We have since finished the build which looks fantastic and are due to take a journey down to the Salisbury hotel in our used Mercedes for another gentle break away from the day to day.
